Dr. Galloway attended UC Irvine College of Medicine and did his residency and fellowship at Emanuel Hospital/Oregon Health Science University in Portland, Oregon. He was in private practice for 28 years before joining Healthtopia.

 

He has many years’ experience treating patients with medical/surgical diseases and cancer and has extensive experience with wound care and digestive disorders. Dr. Galloway has done volunteer work in Asia and the South Pacific and has volunteered with the Association of Surfing Professionals and the World Surf League. He founded The Well Medical Center and The Well Surgical Gifts Charity. Dr. Galloway has lived in India, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Malaysia and speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, Thai and some Spanish. He has surfed and practiced meditation for over 45 years. He likes to hike, fish, rescue snakes, and is an avid naturalist.  Dr. Galloway trained and practiced as a general surgeon, though now he has retired from performing surgery. He is enthusiastic about spending the rest of his career serving his community through integrative primary care.
