Yoga therapy is used to improve mental focus, physical wellbeing, and receptivity.
This modality takes into consideration an individual’s physical symptoms and defines the relationship between the body, breath, mind, and one’s lifestyle.
A typical yoga session will begin with a dialogue around an individual’s goals, needs and/or concerns in addition to a review of their overall medical conditions. The yoga therapist will facilitate a one-to-one practice based on the initial dialogue and will include basic yoga postures, corrective exercise/movement, breathing techniques and/or meditation. The individualized yoga therapy will emphasize the individual’s abilities and adaptation to meet the needs of specific goals. These yoga sessions are for ALL levels of experience and NO prior experience is necessary.
